Nils dunninger gets a taste of bundesliga action

18-year-old sylbach table tennis player nils dunninger, who serves for TSV gobmannsdorf (bezirksoberliga and bezirksklasse), has reached another milestone in his still young umpiring career (3.5 years). He recently made his first appearance in germany’s top league, the bundesliga.

Together with his referee colleagues, he masterfully officiated the match in the shakehands arena between TSV bad konigshofen and TTC neu-ulm, which bad konigshofen won 3:2 in a hard-fought match. Only 24 hours before, dunninger had already stood in the shakehands arena. In his role as referee, he was in charge of the oberliga match between TSV bad konigshofen II and TTC kist.

Founding member

In addition, nils dunninger was on the road as a foundation member in ingolstadt. The bavarian table tennis association (BTTV) has launched a junior team there. This represents the interests of table tennis youth in bavaria, wants to make a difference in the sport of table tennis and take responsibility together. For example, the junior team plans and carries out its own projects. Young people between the ages of 16 and 26 can enter the tournament.

Some of the bavarian junior team members are already active volunteers in the BTTV, others are newcomers to the team. The junior team will communicate via a whatsapp group, conduct online meetings and organize prasenz meetings. At the kick-off in ingolstadt, the junior team members completed a workshop on the topic of member recruitment and retention and collected their own project ideas.

Members of the BTTV junior team are christina wassermann (ESV munchen-freimann, 23), leon schneider (TV dillingen, 22), nils dunninger (TSV gobmannsdorf, 18), nina bruckl (SV kelheimwinzer, 18), patrick rott (TV 1911 vohburg, 23), tim reininger (DJK seifriedsberg, 18) and julian horndlein (spvgg heroldsbach/thurn, 21).
